I try not to do too many journal entries since I don't want to clutter people's inboxes, but it has been just about two years since my last one, so I guess this is overdue. Anyways, a lot of developments have unfolded. I've started getting into painting and other art as well as photography, and as far as photography I finally splurged for my birthday and got myself a Nikon D60 as a starter camera just before my trip to Ireland and Wales. For those taking the time to look at this entry, I grant a rare glimpse into the reading I've been doing. I've been going through Tamora Pierce books like crazy recently. I read her entire Song of the Lioness and Immortals series in December as well as the last two books in the Protector of the Small. She is a pretty good writer, though there are some poorly worded parts and a bit of cheese, but overall for teenage books they are quite good. Now to finish reading Dr. Zhivago and a biography about C.S. Lewis lent to me by my friend Ryan. Just wanted to load a new journal entry since the previous one is impossibly old. I'm home for Thanksgiving break right now. Today is the actual holiday, and soon I will be forced to endure turkey and mashed potatoes with my stuck-up aunt and uncle and my two annoying younger cousins. In fact last Thanksgiving my uncle made me cry, so we'll see if the douchebag can make it a year without repeating the offence.
